Dr Briege Nugent

Briege is an independent research consultant and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Salford. Briege is a specialist in qualitative research, often with those often referred to as ‘hard to reach’ with the hope of making their voice louder to help inform future policy and practice. She has over 13 years’ experience working in government, private, academic and third sector. Briege’s research interests are in housing, homelessness, social services, families and relationships, communities, social exclusion and criminal justice. She has recently completed a number of large scale qualitative research studies with tenants and people experiencing homelessness, including studies for two local authorities, and for CAN – a partnership of four voluntary organisations in Glasgow tackling street homelessness.
